BEFORE Applying Your Magnetic Sign

Be sure all surface paints, clear coats and waxes are cured or hardened. Paint usually takes 90 days to cure. Consult with your paint supplier for more details. The vehicle should be clean and dry before attaching the sign. Do not apply the sign in temperatures below 50˚F. Clean the reverse side of the magnetic sign with soap and water. Wipe with a soft cloth and let dry.

Applying Your Magnetic Sign

Magnetic signs will NOT adhere to irregular or highly curved surfaces such as trim or molding. This sign will also not stick to non-metallic surfaces such as body fillers, simulated wood grain and some repainted surfaces. Do not place the sign on horizontal metal surfaces that are exposed to direct sunlight such as vehicle hoods. The sign should not be placed on any surface in which the temperature exceeds 150˚F. The sign should be flat against the surface with no air pockets, bubbles or with the sign edge raised off the surface. If you place the sign in the wrong position, do not drag the sign across the surface. Remove the sign completely and re-affix. Dragging the magnetic sign may damage the finish.

Storage & Continued Use

When not in use, keep the sign in a clean, dry place. The sign should always lay flat. Do not to store the sign in your vehicle as temperatures in the summer can easily exceed 150˚F. Every two to three days, remove the magnet from the vehicle. Clean both sides of the magnet and the surface of the vehicle with soap and water. Do NOT use harsh abrasives or petroleum-based cleaners. This may damage the artwork side of the magnet. Long term use on surfaces exposed to sunlight can result in uneven fading of the surface. This is because the area under the magnetic sign is shielded from ultraviolet sunlight.

Turnaround Times

Our typical turnaround time for standard size magnets is normally 2-4 business days. For uncommon sizes, add an additional 2 business days. Rush options are available for an additional cost.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to measure your vehicle before ordering to ensure a proper fit. Our magnets are designed to stick to any steel surface. They will NOT stick to plastic, fiberglass, aluminum or composite materials. Check your vehicle with a fridge magnet to ensure that magnets will stick to your vehicle’s surface.
Please note that vehicle magnets require more care than traditional signage such as decals. Failure to properly maintain vehicle magnets can lead to damage to your vehicle’s finish.
