Cabinet signs are essentially just a giant box that can be either non-illuminated or internally illuminated by LED lighting, fluorescent light tubes, or, in the case of many older signs, neon lighting. These cabinet signs can be manufactured to be single-sided, where only one side of sign is visible, or double-sided. They can be mounted directly to the wall, as well as mounted to a pole, a monument sign base, or they can even be mounted perpendicular to a wall.
